What is under the old floor
A slab that needs levelling compound, or a subfloor that has to be rebuilt, is the single biggest swing in any quote.

Tile size and format
Large-format slabs need levelling clips and two people to set. Mosaic is slow for a different reason — every sheet is cut and adjusted.

Whether the plumbing moves
Keeping the drain where it is can be the difference between a straightforward week and a full rebuild of the wet area.

Waterproofing and heat
Both are done properly or not at all. They add cost up front and are the two things people regret skipping.

Do I need to be home for a quote?
No. Send photos of the room and a rough size and you get a written, itemised quote the same day. He only measures on site once you want to go ahead.
Which areas do you cover?

Do you supply the tile as well?
You can buy it yourself or he can recommend material to suit the look and the budget. Either way the quote separates labour from materials so you can see what you are paying for.
Can you install heated floors under the tile?
Yes — electric cable and mat systems, and hydronic loops with the manifold set and pressure-tested. The cheapest moment to add it is while the floor is already open.
What languages do you speak?

Are you insured?

How long does a bathroom take?
A typical full bathroom runs one to two weeks depending on what is found under the old floor and whether the plumbing moves. Start and finish dates are agreed in writing before demolition.
